The event consisted of a lecture by the executive committee of the newly established student chapter of the Signal Processing Society at the Federal University of Pelotas. Shortly after, the current chair of the South Brazil Section chapter of the SPS, Prof. Daniel Palomino, spoke about the benefits of joining IEEE and the SPS chapter. It brought together undergraduate students from the Computer Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, and Computer Science programs, as well as graduate students in Computing.
