IEEEmersion served as both a welcoming event for new volunteers who had recently gone through the selection process, and a moment of camaraderie for long-time members of the Student Branch.

The programme included awards for volunteers who have stood out throughout the year for their proactiveness, helpfulness, enthusiasm, creativity and outstanding technical skills. It also included a farewell speech from the outgoing committee, with words of encouragement for both new and experienced volunteers.

The event embodied inclusion at its core. From the breakfast gathering, volunteers mingled, shared a meal, were matched with a mentor or mentee, and enjoyed engaging games and activities together.
