In this class, our students had to assemble an oscillator circuit using the NE555 and LEDs, as well as simulate the circuit using Tinkercad. The Arduino was used as the power source for the circuit. To motivate the students and keep them more focused on assembling this circuit, which wasn’t so simple for them, we offered some prizes for the team that managed to complete the simulation and assembly first. In the end, everyone received some prizes for successfully completing the activity. The students’ feedback was positive; they were able to learn a lot about circuit assembly and simulation during this class.
