No dia 09 de novembro de 2024, realizamos a segunda edição do BRIGHT SIGHT, uma visita à comunidade de Ipiranga, durante a qual promovemos diversos eventos aos moradores locais em colaboração com outros projetos de extensão da Universidade Federal do Ceará, como a RAS UFC, o WIE UFC, o PET Engenharia Química, o PET Engenharia Elétrica e o RAITec (Grupo de Robótica, Automação, Inteligência Artificial e Tecnologias). Saímos da universidade por volta das 5h40 da manhã e chegamos à comunidade às 8h.

Iniciamos as atividades pela manhã, abordando temas como a saúde e tecnologias com os adultos, com atividades como: uma palestra de conscientização sobre o outubro rosa e novembro azul, uma palestra sobre tecnologias e uma dinâmica de integração voltada para os adultos. Em paralelo, realizamos pela manhã também um momento de dinâmicas educativas com as crianças sobre energia e sustentabilidade. As atividades pela manhã iniciaram às 9h e finalizaram às 11h.

Além disso, pela manhã, alguns membros visitaram locais de agricultura familiar para contribuir com o desenvolvimento do projeto técnico de detecção de pragas. Como também, coletamos a água do rio da região e do poço para realizarmos a análise delas e, assim, realizarmos o estudo para o tratamento da água da região.

No período da tarde, iniciamos às 13h, ministramos uma palestra educacional sobre o uso da água e sua importância, visando conscientizar principalmente as crianças sobre o tema. Como também, organizamos uma atividade de feira de ciências com as crianças e jovens da comunidade, em que apresentamos projetos eletrônicos e experimentos científicos. Finalizamos as atividades pela tarde com a realização de uma dinâmica lúdica com as crianças.

Por fim, a visita encerrou-se cerca de 16h, quando retornamos à UFC. Participaram da visita 20 membros e aproximadamente 30 moradores da comunidade (crianças, jovens e adultos). A atividade foi proveitosa, permitindo a difusão de conhecimentos para a comunidade e a coleta de informações e materiais importantes para o avanço dos projetos em andamento.

On November 9, 2024, we held the second edition of BRIGHT SIGHT, a visit to the community of Ipiranga, during which we promoted several events for local residents in collaboration with other extension projects of the Federal University of Ceará, such as RAS UFC, WIE UFC, PET Chemical Engineering, PET Electrical Engineering and RAITec (Robotics, Automation, Artificial Intelligence and Technologies Group). We left the university at around 5:40 am and arrived at the community at 8 am.

We started the activities in the morning, addressing topics such as health and technologies with adults, with activities such as: a lecture to raise awareness about Pink October and Blue November, a lecture on technologies and an integration dynamic aimed at adults. In parallel, we also held an educational dynamic with children in the morning about energy and sustainability. The morning activities started at 9 am and ended at 11 am.

In addition, in the morning, some members visited family farming sites to contribute to the development of the technical project for pest detection. We also collected water from the local river and well to analyze it and, thus, conduct a study for treating the region’s water. In the afternoon, we began at 1:00 p.m., giving an educational lecture on the use of water and its importance, aiming to raise awareness mainly among children about the subject. We also organized a science fair activity with the children and young people in the community, in which we presented electronic projects and scientific experiments. We ended the afternoon activities with a playful dynamic with the children.

Finally, the visit ended around 4:00 p.m., when we returned to UFC. Twenty members and approximately 30 residents of the community (children, young people and adults) participated in the visit. The activity was fruitful, allowing the dissemination of knowledge to the community and the collection of important information and materials for the advancement of ongoing projects.
