The IEEE Student Branch of the Instituto Federal Fluminense (IFF) participated in Mostre-se, an institutional fair aimed at showcasing projects developed within IFF to both internal and external audiences. Although our Student Branch does not yet have completed projects, we took this opportunity to present our initiatives, strengthen our presence within the institution, and attract new members interested in research and development.

During the event, we introduced the IEEE Student Branch’s plans for the upcoming year, including technical and social projects. Additionally, we demonstrated the first step of the institute’s classroom automation project, developed by our PES chapter. For this demonstration, we used a small-scale model simulating a smart home, where lights were remotely turned on and off using an ESP32 connected to a relay module, controlled via a mobile application.

Our participation in Mostre-se was essential for increasing the IEEE’s visibility within IFF, engaging new students, and reinforcing the importance of technological and innovation-driven initiatives at the institution.
