On this day, we gathered to prepare a course on laboratory instruments, with a focus on oscilloscopes. The goal is to introduce this tool to electrical and electronics engineering students both within and outside our campus. Since the course curriculum does not include a specific subject dedicated to teaching how to use these instruments, students typically learn to operate them through practical experience, but often for specific tasks only. As a result, they miss out on fully understanding the potential of these tools. This includes applications in classes like signal and systems analysis, where the theory can sometimes be challenging to grasp. Gaining practical insight into concepts like Fourier transforms and their applications can broaden the perspective of those taking this subject. With these issues in mind, we decided to create this highly valuable mini-course.
