The Technical Workshop on Optical Sensors, organized by the IEEE Photonics Professional Chapter (PHO36) of the Minas Gerais Section, is an event dedicated to the development and application of optical sensor technologies. Held at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), the workshop’s main goal is to present and discuss the latest research and technological innovations in the field of optical sensors, with a focus on practical applications and the technical challenges faced by professionals in the field.
Over the course of two days (February 14 and 21, 2025), members of the IEEE chapter will share their advancements in fiber optic sensors, monitoring, industrial applications, and emerging technologies. The technical sessions will include in-depth presentations, live demonstrations, and interactive discussions on the latest developments in this area. This event aims to provide a platform for students in the Instrumentation Seminar course and members of the IEEE UFJF student branch to enhance their technical knowledge, interact with experts, and explore the various applications of optical sensors across different sectors.
The workshop will provide a comprehensive insight into how optical sensors can be integrated into practical solutions, addressing issues such as performance, reliability, field implementation, and technical challenges. Additionally, the event will serve as a meeting point to strengthen networking among students, researchers, and industry professionals.
Technical Goals of the Event:
- Present cutting-edge research on optical sensors and their practical applications.
- Promote discussions on technical challenges in the development of optical technologies.
- Offer a platform for technical interaction between students, researchers, and professionals.
- Demonstrate the applicability of optical sensors in various contexts and promote the development of innovative solutions.
