This workshop explains image processing techniques, focusing specifically on limearization algorithms and their applications in photometry and artificial intelligence. This workshop explains the importance of pixels in digital images and illustrates various image processing methods, including convolutional neural networks for tasks such as defect detection and tumor identification. The practical use of Python libraries such as OpenCV and Matplotlib for image thresholding is demonstrated, explaining crucial concepts such as thresholding, image binarization and inverted thresholding methods. Overall, the session aims to deepen participants’ understanding of image processing while promoting engagement through hands-on coding exercises.
