The opportunity for your engagement with the IEEE to provide your interests and needs: as you may already know, the IEEE TMC is transitioning to the Technology and Engineering Management Society (TEMS) on January 1st. The Technology and Engineering Management Society (TEMS) is a continuation of TMC, the Technology Management Council which was actively supported by 14 Societies. These 14 Societies realized the importance of the management perspective on todays and tomorrows technology and engineering. In fact, in a recent survey close to 25% of the respondent IEEE members rated a first-order interest in this field. The current TMC Chapters will transition to TEMS Chapters. Starting January 1st, TEMS will build its own structure, including the Chapters, which are essential to the functioning of TEMS. We therefore ask TMC participants with an active interest in the fields of technology and engineering management to join TEMS . Doing so will connect you with an active community that will give you access to expertise, knowledge and education in a field that touches us ALL. Once you join TEMS you will also receive its highly distinguished publication Engineering Management Review (which also compiles the best articles from such sources as the Harvard Business Review).  To encourage you not to wait with your registration, we are raffling an iPad.
